Privacy

WOTB has no accounts and no registration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or IP-address logs tied to your searches.

What we store

• Search topics — the topic text of searches is logged anonymously (topic, timestamp, and the country your request came from) to compute trending topics and coverage statistics. The country is read from our hosting provider's network- level geolocation header — we never see or store your IP address.
• Caches — news results, AI summaries, and translations are cached server-side so repeated searches are fast and cheap. Caches contain no personal data.

Third-party services

Headlines are collected from the public RSS feeds of the news outlets we link to. Map tiles come from CARTO/OpenStreetMap. Summaries, sentiment scores, and translations are produced by AI models (a local model or OpenAI's API). Your search topic may be sent to these services to produce results; no identifying information accompanies it.

WOTB currently shows no ads and sets no advertising cookies.
